Flying Pig Productions was created in 2000 by choreographer and dancer Helen Saunders. Her goal was to form a company of dancers, choreographers, composers and designers that would work both together and for each other, exploring and creating new work as a team.
Flying Pig Productions therefore became a kind of umbrella that different artists could come together under to produce work in an atmosphere of being part of a permanent group, rather than working project to project. At the same time however, the company endeavors to expand each year bringing in new artists and new ideas.
In 2000 the company began with just four members, it now has seventeen different artists under its’ wings.
Flying Pig Productions’ performances are predominantly dance-based, focusing primarily on form and choreographic content. Each piece presenting clear ideas, pictures, or a storyline.
Anyone with an interest in dance will be inspired and enthused by this company, which has the pleasure of working with some of Denmark’s most talented and exciting dancers.
